Your First Day at the Faire
Everything you need to walk in like you have done it for years. No costume required, no experience needed, just a day you will not forget.
What a Day Feels Like
Maybe a friend has raved about it for years. Maybe you saw a video and thought, that looks like a blast. Either way, welcome. King Richard's Faire is 200 acres of knights, music, feasting, shopping, and mischief, and you do not need to know a thing about Renaissance festivals to love it. Here is how to make the most of your first visit.
Picture this. You pass through the gate and the modern world falls away. A minstrel plays in the lane. The smell of roasting turkey legs drifts past. Somewhere a crowd roars as armored knights thunder down the jousting field on horseback. You wander into a marketplace where artisans hammer steel and blow glass before your eyes. You raise a tankard, catch a bawdy comedy show, and lose all track of time. That is a day at the Faire.
