When is King Richard’s Faire open?
Our 43rd season is open weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) from August 31st - October 20th, 2024, including Monday holidays September 2nd and October 14th.

Gates open at 10:30 am and close at 6:00 pm.

Parking is FREE. [Scroll down for more parking information.]

How much are the 2024 general admission tickets?

$26 Children (ages 4-11)

$46 Adults (ages 12+)

Guests ages 3 and under are FREE!
Limited tickets are available at the front gate daily.

 

We encourage you to buy dated tickets online here. Tickets purchased online will incur a convenience fee per ticket. ALL tickets are non-refundable.

What is the advantage of purchasing your ticket(s) online?
Tickets purchased online may be purchased using a credit card. In person Box Office sales for admission and food/beverage tickets are cash only.

Do I need to print out my online ticket?

Yes, please!  or  Screenshot them or add them to your Apple Wallet for convenience. Whatever you decide, make sure you have them out and ready when you get to the front gate for the quickest entry!

Can I change my ticket to another date?

You can edit/change your online ticket to another 2024 season Faire Day (if that date has available online sales) by following the instructions below or you can email support@kingrichardsfaire.reamaze.com for help. 

 

Note: There is a ticket change fee, and the change must be done PRIOR to the date you originally purchased the ticket(s) for.

Go to your TicketSpice account center and look for the EDIT button to change the date of your ticket(s). If there is a difference in ticket price when transferring, you must pay the difference in cost.

EDIT options are for the original purchase season only. Tickets can only be edited/changed within the 2024 season and will not be valid once it has ended.

Are there group rates? How do I buy tickets?
Group discounted rates begin with 25 or more adults. Group purchases must be made over the phone by calling our corporate office at 952-238-9915 (November-July) and the Faire site office at 508-866-5391 (August-October). For more information on group rates, email aimee@kingrichardsfaire.net.

What is included with my ticket?
 

  • Parking

  • Shuttle service (when applicable)

  • 2024 Faire Program, which lists all the locations, attractions, and food/beverages the Faire has to offer. Pick yours up just inside the front gate.

  • Incredible immersive street entertainment, from puppets to pipers

  • Shopping in the Artisan Marketplace (fees apply when purchasing)

  • Live demonstrations in the Artisan Marketplace

  • 3 jousting tournaments daily, featuring armored knights on horseback.

  • 8 stages filled with incredible world-class entertainment.

 

Additional fees apply when:

 

  • Experiencing one of the unique hand powered rides or games in the Faire’s sprawling Gaming Glen.

  • Taking a memorable ride on the ponies.

  • Purchasing amazing Artisan wares.

  • Purchasing his Majesty’s award-winning food and beverage items.

Note:

  • All food and beverages are purchased with FOOD tickets ONLY. Food tickets are purchased with cash only at one of the four kiosks located throughout the Faire, or at the front gate box office.

  • Games and rides are cash only.

  • Wares purchased from our talented artisans may be purchased with Lady Visa, Master Card, or cash.

Most performers are paid out of the King’s purse. Some are permitted to “pass their hat” for additional coins or appreciation from the audience. Let your judgement be the guide.

What if the weather is bad and I’ve already bought my ticket online?
The Faire is rain or shine event. Just as with any outdoor professional sports or entertainment venue, unless the weather is dangerous for our guests and participants, we will open for the day and try to remain open. We will always update our website, Facebook, and Instagram pages IF the Faire is unable to open due to weather.

 

Tickets purchased will be honored on their selected purchase date only and are non-refundable. You can edit/change your online ticket to another 2024 season Faire Day if that date has available online sales. Go to your TicketSpice account center and look for the EDIT button to change the date of your ticket(s).

Directions:

The Faire is located at 235 Main Street, Carver, MA 02330 (Rt. 58).

​

From Boston:
Take 93 South to Route 3 South to exit 16 (44 west) to Route 58/Carver exit. Follow our signs and they will lead you to the gate.

​

From Providence:
Take 95 South to 195 East to 495 North to exit 2 (Route 58) and follow our signs. They will lead you to the gate.

​

Parking information:

  • King Richard's Faire has FREE onsite parking. 

  • Arrive early (10:30 a.m.) for the best parking options.

  • All parking is on a first come, first served basis.

  • Handicapped parking is available closest to the front gate for those guests with a handicapped plate or placard.

  • If the onsite lots become full, please follow the directions of parking staff, police, or road signs to our auxiliary lots.

  • When auxiliary lots are in use, FREE roundtrip shuttle buses will pick you up there and drop you off at the front gate.

Note: there is absolutely NO STREET PARKING ALLOWED on or along Rt. 58 and the following streets: Meadow Road, Rochester Road, Mayflower Road or Crescent Street. Walking on or in roads is extremely dangerous and can cause harm to persons walking and persons driving.  Please be respectful of one another and our neighbors. Violators of any of the above may be subject to fines and/or towing.

Gate restrictions

​

Can I bring weapons (real, fake, or costume adornment)?
No weapons (guns, blades, firearms, explosives, etc.) are allowed on Faire grounds. While we do have artisans who sell real weaponry, we do not allow those weapons to be brandished around the grounds. Any weapons purchased within the Faire grounds must remain within the original packaging when purchased.

 

Costume weapon adornments are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Can I bring my bag, wagon, or stroller?

Yes. All bags, backpacks, strollers, and wagons are allowed. All are subject to check upon entrance.

​

Does the Faire offer wheelchair or scooter rentals?
No, but you are welcome to bring your own.

​

Can I bring food or drinks to the Faire?
No, there is no outside food or beverage allowed at the Faire. Breast milk and baby formula are allowed at King Richard’s Faire when accompanied by an infant or toddler. You are allowed to bring in an empty water container to fill up at one of our drinking fountains. Bottled spring water and allergen-free food options are available for purchase inside (click here for our food/beverage list).

Do I need my ID to purchase alcohol?

Yes. Only persons 21+ with proper ID are allowed to consume alcoholic beverages.

​

Can I bring my pet/animal to the Faire?
No, we do not allow pets into the Faire grounds.

Only dogs that are trained and identified as working service animals are the exception.

 

Is smoking permitted within the Faire? Are electronic cigarettes/vapes allowed?
No, King Richard’s Faire is a smoke-free event. Smoking/vaping is prohibited.

 

Can I use my credit/debit card? Are ATMs located at the Faire?
The Faire box office which handles admission and food ticket sales is cash only. Most Faire artisans accept credit/debit cards including our Remembrance Shoppe. We also have 6 ATM machines: two outside the front gate, three near the Village Bakery just inside the front gate, and one inside our Remembrance Shoppe for your convenience.

What should I wear to the Faire? Do I have to wear a costume?

Guests should dress for outdoor elements and consider that day's weather conditions when getting ready. Footwear is required. Practical shoes/sneakers are encouraged to navigate the enchanted woods.

 

Wearing a costume is encouraged to get into the spirit of the Faire but is completely optional. Costumes worn should be suitable for a family-friendly atmosphere.

Does the Faire rent or sell costumes?
Yes, King Richard’s Faire has a wide variety of artisan shops that sell different 16th-century apparel. If you wish to rent a costume for the day, Seams Like A Dream is located just inside the front gate and rents a wide selection of adult and children’s costumes for a fee.

Can I leave and come back?

No. There is no readmission. Guests entering the Faire should be prepared to stay until they leave for the day.

​

Can I bring my drone camera?

Absolutely no drone photography is permitted inside the Faire or in the Faire’s parking lot areas.

Health Precautions

​

Do you spray against mosquitoes?

Yes, King Richard’s Faire is proactive against mosquitos. Weekly spraying is provided by Plymouth County Mosquito Control and aerial spraying is provided by the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources. 
 

What is your COVID policy?

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 (or any of its variants) exists in any public place where people are present. All guests, staff, and participants of King Richard’s Faire, a King’s Faire Inc. entertainment event, voluntarily assume all risks and liability related to exposure to COVID-19 once they have entered the Faire. Masks are not required to enter but are encouraged for anyone who feels the need to wear one, especially in shops or crowded spaces.
