Themed Weekends and Special Events

All special event contests are limited to 50 registered persons maximum unless otherwise stated.

Check out the 2026 Events below!

Pub Crawls are a special ticketed event that happen during the regular Faire Day.  A specific special event admission ticket must be purchased to attend.

Labor Day Weekend: 3 days of Faire fun. Celebrating community, commitment, and comradery!

Opening Day of our 45th Season

​Carver, MA residents who show proper ID at our Box Office are admitted FREE of charge.

Sunday, September 6

Salute to Safety
All active duty-veteran-retired Military, Police, Fire, and EMS personnel are admitted FREE of charge with proper ID/pay stub at the box office. A valid ID must accompany a pay stub. Military IDs accepted; DD214, Veteran Status State IDs, Active Military issue. Don't miss our ceremony before the 5:00 p.m. joust to honor our heroes and recognize their important contributions.

Saturday, September 12

4:00 p.m.: The KRF Annual CLEAVAGE Contest on the King’s Stage (18+)

Faire ladies of the realm are invited to be daring, without baring! A series of competitions makes this celebration of the female form a hilariously fun time for participants and spectators alike. The contest allows 50 contestants max, 18+. Cash prizes and a charity donation benefitting Tipsy Tatas, as they support The American Cancer Society - Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Registration 30 minutes before at the Drum & Banner located in Noble's End.

Sunday, September 13 

4:00 p.m.: The Queen's Beer Run on the Tournament Field.

Raise a glass with your mateys as you get moving during this brand-new event. Run, don't walk... the plank! Just make sure you don't spill... or the Queen will have your head, arrrgh.

50 Contestants max, contestants must be 21+ and show valid ID at registration.  Registration begins at 3:30 at the Broken Lance Tavern located next to the reviewing stand on the Tournament Field.

2026 WEEKEND 3:

HP Fandom in the Kingdom Weekend: Escape your reality and manage your mischief at the Faire!

All day: Magical Meetups
All weekend you can join fellow wizard enthusiasts for meetups at various Faire locations - for details check listings at the Remembrance Shoppe in Noble's End when you arrive, all ages are welcome!

Saturday, Sept. 19 @ 4:00 p.m.: Get filtered by the Hat on the King’s Stage
Want to know where in the magical world you truly belong? Now you can! Meet at the King's Stage for a fast-moving hat filtering for all ages! No pre-registration is required. This is a timed event, and it is possible that not everyone who shows up will be able to participate.

5:00 p.m.: Costume Parade on the Tournament Field

All persons wearing themed costumes are invited to show them off in a parade through the Tournament field at 5:00!

Sunday, Sept. 20 @ 4:00 p.m.: The Spry Wizard Tournament on the Tournament Field

You'll have to be quick if you want in on this exciting competition.  Make it to the end of this daring challenge and be the envy of all gathered.

5:00p.m.: Costume Parade on the Tournament Field

All persons wearing themed costumes are invited to show them off in a through the Tournament field at 5:00!

2026 WEEKEND 4:

Love & Companionship Weekend: Love. Shop. Leash. Repeat.

**Deaf Awareness Day 9/27/26**

Saturday, September 26 

All Day: Artisan Love Promotion.  

Spend at least $500 at one or more artisan shops in the realm and receive 2 tickets to return to KRF in 2027. Valid paper receipts required, all receipts must be dated (9/26/26) and be brought to the box office for promotion redemption. 

4:00 p.m.Vow Renewal Ceremony on the King's Stage

This romantic event allows 25 married couples onto stage, all others may participate from the audience! Registration 30 minutes before at the Drum & Banner located at the tip of Noble's End.

Sunday, September 27 

All day: ASL Interpreters- Learn More!

Join the New England Finger Dancers throughout the realm as we celebrate Deaf Awareness Month on 9/27/26. These ASL interpreters will be joining our casts of characters on stage, making the Faire a more magical place for all!

All day: King's Companions (Dogs) welcome!

For the first time ever pet dogs (King's Companions) will be welcome in the realm. A companion ticket must be purchased, and an ownership form must be filled out prior to entry.  Companions must be up to date with all vaccinations, be on a leash and comfortable around other animals and large crowds.  KRF reserves the right to remove any dogs at any time. Companion tickets are valid for use on Sunday, September 27, 2026, only.  ADA compliant service dogs are always welcome and do not require a ticket.

All Day: Mini Campaigns with DR Adventures 

Adventurers gather... quests are given, will your group succeed?  Campaigns begin at 11:00am, register at DR Adventures located on Lancaster Lane. First come-first served.

4:00 p.m.Dungeons & Gaming Stage Show on the King's Stage

Roll up and watch these adventuring teams compete to become the new Guardians of the Realm.

All Day: Mini Campaigns with DR Adventures

4:00 p.m.: Battle of the Upside Down on the Tournament Field

Join this hilariously challenging new event on the Tournament Field and see if you can be the champion, Stranger Things have happened! First 50 guests to register will compete (ages 12+), with a themed costume parade to follow.

Highland Happenings Weekend: Tartans will clash with Muscle, Heels, and Hustle!

Saturday, October 10

4:00 p.m.Highland Hunks, Men in Kilts Contest on the King's Stage (18+)

Men of the realm are invited to be daring without baring in this hilarious series of competitions celebrating the male form - fun for participants and spectators alike! Cash prizes and charitable donations to benefit the RESCU Foundation.  Limit 50 contestants max, must be 18+ to enter with ID. Registration begins at 3:30 at the Drum & Banner located at the tip of Nobles End.

All day: Step Dancing Showcase

Witness the incredible talents of some of the North East's very best dancers as they showcase their fancy footwork!

Monday, October 12

4:00 p.m.: KRF Highland Games on the Tournament Field (18+) This high-stakes Tournament Field Competition is a series of classic Highland games with a KRF twist! Do you have what it takes? Guests with medical or physical limitations should not compete and do so at their own risk. Interested persons can register starting at 3:30 between booths 39 and 40 at the Tournament Field.

Kingdom's United Weekend: From Tourneys to Journeys!

Saturday, October 17 Joust Do It

All Day: Regional Fandoms Unite

You've "GOT " to be here to witness this tournament of the ages. Cheer on your champions throughout the day and watch the thrilling conclusion at the 5 o'clock joust where dignitaries from foreign realms will watch to see if one of their champions will be crowned "The Knight of Seven Kingdoms"!

 

4:00 p.m.: GOT Trivia on the King's Stage.​

Sunday, October 18 Lord of the Rings Fandom

4:00 p.m.: Relay Race and Ring Toss Tournament on the Tournament Field - Costume Parade to follow.

Guests will compete in this hilarious event as they take a journey with hobbits and rings on the Tournament Field. Participants will enjoy a lively game of speed and skill, with a "precious" costume parade to follow.

2026 WEEKEND 8: ​

Final Weekend: FEST-EVIL FINALE!

2:00 p.m.: Children's Costume Parade following the Knighting Ceremony (ages 11 and under)

2:30-Close: Children's Trick or Treating, we're not tricking you... visit shops with pumpkins for a festive treat!

 

4:00 p.m.: Adult Costume Contest on the King's Stage

You won't want to miss our annual Adult Costume Contest on the King's Stage (Note this is an 18+ contest but all are welcome to watch!)

CASH Prizes to be awarded. 

  • El Dia de las Muertos

  • Undead- Vampires & Zombies

  • Renaissance- From Rogue to Royal

Limit 50 contestants max, must be 18+ to enter with ID.

Register to participate 30 minutes before the contest at the Drum & Banner located at the tip of Noble's End.

Sunday, October 25:

1:30p.m.: Witch Dance Tutorial

Calling all Witches and Warlocks to grab your brooms and learn the viral Witch Dance. Instructions are from 1:30-2:00pm location TBD.

2:30-Close: Children's Trick or Treating, we're not tricking you... visit shops with pumpkins for a festive treat!

5:00p.m.: Witch Dance

Flash Mob dance on the Tournament Field.  Shake your bacon with fellow witches and warlocks at this hallowed event.  Pre-registration required, email: info@kingrichardsfaire.net

5:30p.m.: King-Sized Final Revels

Join King Richard, Queen Anne, their Royal Court and the villagers of Cavershire on the King's Stage for this king-sized end to the 45th Season of Magic and Merriment!

6:15p.m.: Final Drum Jam

Dance to the majestic beat of drums as the front gate closes and the sun sets on the 45th Anniversary Season of KING RICHARD'S FAIRE!

2026 SUNDAY PUB CRAWLS: ​

*Tickets must be purchased in advance online on our ticket site.

Must be 21+ with proper ID to participate. KRF reminds anyone consuming alcoholic beverages to please drink responsibly!

No children allowed to join the crawl or accompany the crawl.

Event specifics will be emailed to ticket holders.
